Project details:

The task was to create a tool to communicate the usp’s of COPA-DATA ‘s automation software zenon in a simple and plain way. BraCe came up with the idea of a series of illustrated videos that can explain difficult issues in max. 2 minutes. The handdrawn style in combination with a entertaining story make them both fun to watch and an interesting source of information for potential customers.

Creation of an icons suite for COPA-DATA ’s automation software Zenon, the Salzburg based innovation leader for HMI/SCADA software.

COPA-DATA  is a Salzburg based, innovative leader in HMI/SCADA software (automation) for industries such as automobile, machine engineering, energy and production technology. COPA-DATA  has 130 employees and works with customers such as Festo, VA TECH, BMW and Audi. Project details: Creation of an icon suite for COPA-DATA ’s automation software Zenon. The different icons allow a more intuitive way of working for the users, providing them with everything from “on click access” to the most common features.

In 2008, BraCe won a tender to redesign the safety and briefing cards for the whole fleet. Bit by bit the airplanes will conquer the world taking our safety cards to places that we might never visit.

Customer Details:

Austrian Airlines AG is the flag carrier airline of Austria, headquartered in Vienna. Together with regional subsidiary Tyrolean Airways (Austrian Arrows) and charter arm Lauda Air, it operates scheduled services to over 130 destinations. It is a member of the Star Alliance and the Austrian Airlines Group.

Task:

Redesign the Safety Instruction Cards (passengers) and Briefing Cards (flight attendants) for the whole Austrian Airlines fleet.
The challenge was to create an attractive but still timeless design (estimated time of use is 10 years) that is in tune with AUA’s corporate design and positioning but also meets high EU standards for safety information.

Solution:

Beautifully illustrated graphics featuring the perfect balance of safety details and attractive design. Starting with the new premium airbus A 320P in July 2008, slowy but surely all other AUA airplanes will travel the world taking our safety cards to places that we might never visit.

VeriSign, Inc. (Nasdaq: VRSN) is the trusted provider of Internet infrastructure services for the networked world. In addition to SSL, identity and authentication solutions, VeriSign Inc. launched a “self service“ mobile marketing solution called ZZumo in 2009.
ZZumo enables small and medium enterprises to use various SMS services without IT specialists or huge budgets.

Task:

Explaining a technical self-service product (mobile marketing) to marketing executives in both an entertaining and educating way.

Solution:

A surprising, short and simple tutorial video using illustrated characters and paper cutouts. The video introduces the ZZumo character Helen, setting up a SMS-survey (to view clicks on www.zzumo.com).
The handmade character Helen, underlines the easy to use nature of the solution and it lowers the entrance barriers while the high gloss finishing, meets the high visual expectations of marketing executives.
The video was featured in an international online marketing campaign, at various trade fairs and on www.zzumo.com.

Research and development project to visualize the future look & feel of the runtime of COPA-DATA, a Salzburg based innovative leader in HMI/SCADA software.

Project details

Research and development project to visualize the future look & feel of the COPA-DATA runtime. Screens for different application areas such as e.g “Energy Management Systems” or “Production Line Management System” are created, exploring new approaches to usability and visualization. The task is to make complex systems look easy and intuitive and create an appealing and functional environment.

Character development, screen design and animation for St. Anna Fernsehen, the hospital television of the future.

Customer details:

St. Anna Fernsehen is the hospital television of the future. A stuffed animal is the key to the program. The RFID chip in the animal conveys the age and language of the child to a Set-Top Box. The television “recognizes” which child is sitting right in front of it. Child-oriented information is personalized according to the age, the language and the illness of the child. St. Anna Fernsehen was designed and implemented by Telekom Austria and Sonovista.

BraCe: BraCe contributed to the development of different, illustrated characters as well as screendesigns and animation for the application.
